FansBet Group in Malta is looking to recruit an experienced Compliance Officer to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role 

The Compliance Officer will report directly to the CEO with a direct line of communication to the Board of Directors. The role comes with a high degree of responsibility and will manage aspects of our Malta Gaming Authority licence, the good standing of which is critical to future growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep up to date with changes to the legal landscape in various jurisdictions under the Malta Gaming Authority licence
• Act as the guardian of the licence and ensure all licence conditions are met and any failings are proactively reported to the CEO
• Act as the point of contact for the company’s legal counsel and other regulatory bodies
• Undertake proactive reviews of the customer base with active risk management in line with the business risk assessment
• Mitigate potential Money Laundering risks through the implementation of predictive models and/or a rules-based system
• Provide and/or arrange for AML training for members of staff
• Ensure the AML Policy is being implemented in full and all AML regulatory requirements are met to the highest standard
• Work with the Internal Audit Function on a regular basis to continuously improve compliance with the licence conditions and ever-changing legal landscape
• prepare SARs for review and submission and update the SAR log
• carry out external reporting of known and suspected money laundering incidents across different jurisdictions and will review AML reports to detect and pinpoint possible money laundering or terrorist financing activities
• Carry out a risk assessment, administration and triage of all internal suspicious activity reports (iSARs) will also be an important part of the role
• Ensure upkeep of the licence with regular submissions
• To undertake any other tasks as required by the Company from time to time and as duly instructed by your line manager, the CEO or the Board.
